Two Day Trips Included in Retreat Rate

Our First Day Trip:

Will take us to Masaya to explore and hike the Masaya Volcano in the morning and then into Masaya for lunch and to explore the amazing “mercado viejo” where the vendors are selling Nicaraguan art and crafts. Masaya Volcano is Nicaragua’s first and largest National Park, and one of 78 protected areas of Nicaragua.

Our Second Day Trip:

Will take us into Granada to take a boat tour of the Isletas in Lake Nicaragua.  We will eat lunch along the lake at one of the authentic Nicaraguan restaurants and then head into explore Granada where there are many beautiful examples of architechture, the main square and stellar views from the top of the church towers.

 

Apoyo Lodge promises a truly authentic experience where guests can immerse themselves in a unique, secluded and natural setting.  Some guests describe the lodge as “the perfect place to unplug from the outside world.”

The lodge sits on over an acre of property deep within the tropical nature reserve of Laguna de Apoyo, a twenty-minute drive from Granada Nicaragua.  Just footsteps away from the lodge are the pristine healing waters of Apoyo Lagoon.

Apoyo Lodge boasts 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. There are two expansive suites equipped with queen beds and French doors that lead to a private balcony where you can relax and admire the views of the laguna. We can add a single bed to this suite to accommodate 3 sharing.

Amenities at the lodge include a spacious, fully equipped open-air kitchen, dining and living area with direct views of lush greenery and the lake.  Colorful swinging hammock chairs hang suspended from arches in the living area.

All rooms are equipped with ceiling and floor fans and have their own private modern American standardized washrooms.  All linens are provided. There is also a full-sized washing machine on site.

EXTRAS

 Natural Soap Making Workshop: We offer a natural organic soap making workshops. Guests need to be with us for three days minimum to allow the soap to set so you could fit it in to our retreat if there was interest. The teacher requires a minimum of 4 students and it’s $40/person. Each person walks away with 6 soaps.
